Challenge

Develop a new marketplace in the Indian Stock Market specifically for performance stocks.

My client needed a marketplace that unifies several stock brokers onto a single platform to streamline and enhance trading. The project called for effective coordination with client developers, handling various authentication methods like OTP and API Keys, integration with the Indian Stock Market, unifying over fifteen stock brokers, and handling seamless web-mobile integration, performance management, and more.

Approach

The main objective was to develop the Gateway Module, an aggregator for a range of stock market brokers – from highly technical to those with little integration support.

Together with the client development and trading teams, I oversaw the frontend and mobile teams to build a robust platform that simplified broker integration. The goal of this module was to integrate more than 65 brokers while significantly reducing development costs. In addition, I designed a React-based application with backend control over the states, which makes it easy for future brokers to adapt it without having to make major changes.

Result

I completed the project within six months, unifying over 65 brokers into a single platform.

I was able to successfully develop a reliable and scalable solution that expedited the broker integration process. The platform’s innovative architecture improved the overall trading experience for users by providing a more intuitive and convenient interface, in addition to enabling seamless integration across various broker technologies. I had to resolve several intricate problems to develop an excellent product that improved trading and established a new benchmark for broker integration.
