Design, develop, and deploy multiple Litium-based ecommerce solutions while maintaining a single codebase.

In order to reuse common elements across various websites, we had to establish a single codebase for multiple projects. The Litium framework and accelerator presented some initial setup difficulties. Moreover, project upgrades were necessary due to Litium’s regular new releases.

Approach

The aim was to deliver high-performance, scalable, and user-friendly ecommerce systems that enhance consumer satisfaction and drive business expansion.

I came up with a plan to reuse the accelerator by inheriting it and creating a series of accelerator classes specifically for our project. This method spared us from having to reapply the accelerated class changes during upgrades by enabling the project to use the new set of classes we created.

With the approach I proposed, we were able to expedite the development process and avoid interruptions during upgrades.
